The 5 km challenge for 30 consecutive days
Take up the challenge to run 5 km a day for 30 days
Running 5 km is not a marathon. Taken in isolation, it's a manageable distance for a regular runner. But accumulating it day after day requires consistency and creates systemic fatigue.
Consistency required intelligent effort management. Some days, I was flying. Other days, my legs weighed a ton and my pace was slow.
I've learned to accept those «off» days. Consistency doesn't mean performing at 100 % every day. It means being present at 100 % every day.
- Day 11: Superb tempo, 6.5 kilo
- Day 12: Quiet run, 5 kilo
Result: Both count equally towards the final goal.
